{friday photo tip | wedding timeline}

Consider your photography when planning your timeline for your ceremony and reception. If you plan on seeing each other prior to the ceremony allow 3-4 hours for photography to capture your individuals, immediate family, bridal party and couple shots for both you and your groom. If you are more traditional and want the groom to see you as you walk down the isle for the first time try and allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours for photos in-between your ceremony and reception in addition to the 2 hours pre-ceremony for individuals. This will allow your photographer more time for creativity and leave you less stressed! Each photographer photographs differently, so be sure to check with them on what they recommend for your photography timeline. I personally always say the more time you can allot for photos the better.

For the wedding above we started 2 1/2 hours prior to ceremony plus had a 2 hour gap between ceremony and reception which allowed us to stop at an alternate location and capture this amazing image plus many more!

{loves me | loves me not}

Featuring my first post of loves me, loves me not, what is this you ask? Nothing special just my weeks favorite things and least favorite things. A little way for you to get to know me better!

First up is my love me's... and I have to go with flea markets and Goodwill. This has kinda been an obsession since my first flea market adventure with Gianna back in November! I went to 5 different Goodwills in 3 days last week. But, I found some awesome goodies and can't wait to use them in some upcoming shoots!

And for the love me not's... this week is the scale (really every week)! No matter how hard I try, or what I eat that scale doesn't seem to budge, well it does move just in the wrong direction. But another week and hopefully another pound down! Which kinda leads to one more love me not, exercise, can't seem to find that activity that gets my lazy bum moving. Any takers on an exercise partner????

{press | wedding chicks | grey likes weddings}

I am so honored and excited to announce our feature on Wedding Chicks and Grey Likes Weddings blog! Wedding Chicks and Grey Likes Weddings are two of my favorite blogs,(yes I have a few)! So to be featured on these blogs is such a privilege! I love the style and cute modern vintage elegance they inspire. On the same day we were featured on Wedding Chicks, Grey Likes featured our vintage roadtrip styled shoot! How amazing is that, featured twice in one day!

This was my first styled collaboration and I am thrilled that Wedding Chicks loved it just as much as me. A huge thanks to Gianna of Chic Celebrations for bringing my vision to life, Jen of Nunn Better Design for making Rachel + Mark fashionably fabulous, and Melody of My Sweet and Saucy for the yummiest macaroons ever! It was such an honor and pleasure to work with you ladies and I can’t wait for more shoots and weddings to come! Check out our feature here!

Grey Likes Weddings was a collaboration giveaway for the launch of GLW new website, which by the way is fabulous! I was thrilled to work with Gianna of Chic Celebrations again! She is amazing! I also got to work with Found Vintage Rentals, who are the sweetest ladies ever! I love their stuff! Thanks Summer for the amazing opportunity to work with you and your wonderful followers. Check out our feature here!

{erin + patrick | engagement session | vintage roadtrip}

Erin and Patrick were the lucky winners of the Greylikes giveaway collaboration shoot with Krista Mason Photography, and Chic Celebrations! The shoot was inspired by vintage roadtrips, VW Bus, and Americana! Thanks to Found Rentals for the vintage luggage! We had a blast with the rented VW along the side of the road with the beautiful mountain view and then down to Laguna Beach! Erin and Patrick were super sweet and we had fun capturing their roadtrip to Orange County!

{friday photo tip | portrait}

When coordinating your outfits and location for your portraits or engagement sessions, consider the area in your home where you plan on displaying your wall portraits. For example, a formal portrait may clash with casual home décor. Also consider your color choices; your wall portrait is like any other artwork and you want it to coordinate with your home!
