{friday photo tip | wedding timeline}

Consider your photography when planning your timeline for your ceremony and reception. If you plan on seeing each other prior to the ceremony allow 3-4 hours for photography to capture your individuals, immediate family, bridal party and couple shots for both you and your groom. If you are more traditional and want the groom to see you as you walk down the isle for the first time try and allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours for photos in-between your ceremony and reception in addition to the 2 hours pre-ceremony for individuals. This will allow your photographer more time for creativity and leave you less stressed! Each photographer photographs differently, so be sure to check with them on what they recommend for your photography timeline. I personally always say the more time you can allot for photos the better.

For the wedding above we started 2 1/2 hours prior to ceremony plus had a 2 hour gap between ceremony and reception which allowed us to stop at an alternate location and capture this amazing image plus many more!
