{love this | what are you thankful for | happy thanksgiving}

In honor of Thanksgiving tomorrow, I thought I would post a more personal blog for the holiday! Many of us take for granted what we have and focus on what we want or don’t have. We all do it, myself included, but I am trying to make more of an effort to focus on what I have and appreciate life more. In our society we are always looking for the next best thing, the next dollar, or the next step to the top, while so many people are starving, have no place to sleep, are losing their jobs and struggling with how they are going to get their next meal. It is nice to take a step back and appreciate all we have to be grateful for, even if it is our own hard work that got us there. It's very easy to take the simple things in life for granted. I am guilty of this myself, focusing on what blogs will feature my next wedding, what next couple will book, what our sales were for the month, etc. etc. So this Thanksgiving sit back enjoy family and friends and be thankful you have loved ones in your life and food on the table. Sweat the small stuff another day. I have so many things to be grateful for!

What are you most thankful for? I am thankful for the love and support of my family and friends. A special thank you to my mom and dad for supporting me and my dreams ever since I was little. Thank you Aldo for being by my side in my business and life adventures. Thank you Margaret and Natalie for being my cheerleaders, even when there is not a lot to cheer for! You have all made a huge contribution to my life and I couldn't be more grateful!

Leave a comment on what you are most grateful for and you will be entered for a chance to win a free portrait session to show our appreciation of you! (Winner announced Monday)

Happy Thanksgiving!

{jannet + eric | wedding | cabo san lucas, mexico | dreams los cabos}

Jannet + Eric were married on November 5th at Dreams Los Cabos with the beautiful ocean as the backdrop and the amazing reception in the courtyard next to the pool. J+E wanted a small intimate ceremony with their closest and dearest friends and family, and two years after their engagement announcement that is what they had! Cabo San Lucas, Mexico was the perfect location for their laid back personalities, and it was all so charming and personal. Not to mention a great vacation spot/honeymoon! Jannet looked stunning, and her dress was to die for! Everything was so casual and elegant, from the bridal party attire to the décor. A wonderful spot for a small, stress free wedding. Aldo and I had a wonderful time and were so thrilled to be such a huge part of Jannet + Eric’s wedding, thanks for including us!

p.s. Aldo will be thrilled to hear that I think I am back to wanting a destination wedding!

{love this | fav spots | engagement + wedding + portriat}

One of my favorite spots to photograph is against a textured wall or door. I love the contrast of soft and subtle set against a rough playful texture. Mix that with any emotion, laughter, serious or romantic and you will see me clicking away.

{wedding | manny + ines | calamigos malibu}

Manny & Ines were married on October 16th at the beautiful Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. The most emotional part of the day was the reveal, when Ines and Manny were seeing each other for the first time. Ines had been holding back her tears as best she could all day. But when she walked up to see Manny she couldn’t hold it in any longer. She kept sobbing "I can't do this" but with some coaching from her bridesmaids and Manny's encouraging "come on Baby you can do this" she managed to make it across the field were Manny was waiting for her. The moment was perfect for them, a little crying, a little teasing, and a little laughter.

The weddings style was very urban chic with a New York Yankee and Los Angeles Lakers theme. Manny and Ines were able to incorporate the love of their cities and favorite sports teams into their wedding. Loved the added touches of the New York Yankee and Los Angeles Lakers Luggage Tags as escort cards and table numbers showing off the different team jerseys. Their passport invitation was unique and fitting for the traveling between Ines and Manny.

Overall the wedding was amazing, with fabulous details and accents. The purple color pallet, accessory details, scrabble cuff links, nike shoes, passport invitation, Lakers/Yankees luggage tags and table numbers were the perfect added touches to make this a dream wedding for Ines and Manny.
