{jen + mike | wedding | sheraton universal}
So happy to share this awesome couple's wedding! I have had the pleasure of getting to know Jen + Mike and becoming friends, not only with them but her brother as well! I mean how could we not, they are pretty dang awesome! Mike's a beer lover, so we know that him and Aldo would hit it off and Jen well Jen is just too funny and we love her and her 12 year-old boy mind. We adore them all and love hanging out with them. So much so that most of our appointments last for hours because we get so side tracked gabbing away. Anyhoo, now about their wedding, which was gorgeous! ;-) I finally had the opportunity to work with Kristeen LaBrot, who did an amazing job bringing everything together and bringing the details to life. Great job, everything was stunning! I love Jen's description of the theme "...the
room had these stunning chandeliers on the ceiling that looked like
disco balls. . . . big shiny "balls" which ended up being a central part
of our wedding planning and carried over into the stationary, flowers,
& even my shoes. It's as close to a common theme as we could get.
What can I say, I like big shiny balls". And there were lots of balls going around that day, lol. I love the fact that Mike handmade many of their details, such as the mailbox, the escort card boxes, manzanita branches and even the cake stand. Amazing talent. I loved how they had so many unique stories behind the details (even the colors), which made it that much more special. Eggplant and canary aren't just fav colors but also Laker's colors, the fun part however, is that Mike is "unfortunately" (Jen's words) a Celtic Fan. Jen + Mike just keep Aldo and I laughing and we love it! We are so honored to be part of such a special day and glad to have developed such a great friendship in the process. Congrats you two!
