{2011 senior ambassador program}

Krista Mason Photography is looking for this year's juniors to apply for the Class of 2011 Senior Ambassador Program! Spring semester is a great time to start taking senior portraits. We want to ensure you and your friends get the best professional photography for your senior portraits. We are looking for the most outgoing students on campus to work with us. It'll be lots of fun, and you will get some incredible portraits in the end.

Who: Los Angeles, South Bay, and Valley area high school seniors graduating in 2011 are eligible for this fantastic offer. We are looking for seniors graduating in 2011 that will represent and refer Krista Mason Photography to their friends and family. If you think you have what it takes, email Krista at krista@kristamason.com and I will send you a short application. Sign up quickly as I’ll only be accepting two seniors from each school and these openings will go fast.

What: The program rewards seniors for sending their friends and family to us to get high quality, fashion photographs for their big year. Each Ambassador gets a free photography session for your senior portraits. You can pick the location that suits you the best. Bring props to your session. If it’s meaningful to you, it’s meant to be in your pictures. It is all about capturing your personality and who you are. The more people you refer, the better your rewards will be.

When: Sessions will take place during the summer and fall of 2010.

Where: I have some great go-to places but it’s all up to you. What do you like? We can shoot anywhere within 30 miles of Los Angeles.

Why: Senior Ambassadors receive a fun, free portrait session in the summer or fall of 2010 (a $150 value)

• Six free images to post on your MySpace/Facebook account (a $200 value)

• Free 8X8 senior album with your best pictures and room for autographs from friends (a $325 value)

• Free student business/rep cards to pass out to friends and family

• 5% off of your portraits for each referral*, up to 35% off
*referrals can be seniors, families, weddings, maternity, babies, etc.

• Each Ambassador with 20 bookings will win an iPod Nano or $200 Visa gift card.

{brittany & brendan | e-session}

I am excited to share Brittany & Brendan’s 1940 modern twist themed engagement session. We started out around downtown and then headed to Union Station to wrap up the prefect setting for the 40’s theme.

Brittany & Brendan are a fun loving couple that like to joke around (a lot, lol), as you can see in the images below. We all had a blast playing around, tossing popcorn, dancing in the streets and just goofing off. We gave Brittany and Brendan their first practice at their first dance, which turned out to be a lot of spinning, lol.

As we walked around and goofed off, while capturing some amazing images, I got to know the wonderful Brittany and Brendan. Both are very sweet and make a wonderful couple, and they like to have a good time. I am really looking forward to spending their wedding day with them in July at Spanish Hills. I love Brittany’s attitude about photographs, she can’t get enough, just like me. Hopefully somewhere in the midst of the photos there will be a ceremony for the wedding day, jk, I think. Haha. I am very glad to have gotten to spend some time with you guys and hope you had as much fun as we did.

{alivia | portrait}

A couple weeks ago I had the joy of photographing Alivia for her 6 month session. Little Alivia is so adorable with the drool dripping down her chin her big green eyes and the happy pouncing and slapping of the floor. 6 months is one of my favorite stages to photograph. The joy and happiness of a chucky rolly baby just makes me smile and laugh with them. :-) Alivia must be getting used to being photographed with us because we even got a few smiles out of her. YAY! I am looking forward to her next session and a few more smiles. Loving our new backdrop, can't wait to use it again.

{alisha & tyler | slideshow}

In addition to the blog posts, I thought I would spice things up a bit and add a slideshow of some of my favorite images. The first slideshow I am proud to share with you is from Alisha and Tyler's wedding on February 20, 2010. You can also view their blog posts below for more details. Alisha & Tyler's wedding was so much fun and I love Alisha's style and am very excited to share this new feature with them. This is something new I plan on adding to each post, so stay tuned for more. We would love your feedback as well.

{alisha & tyler | wedding}

This past weekend I had the delight of photographing Alisha & Tyler’s wedding at the Hyatt in Valencia followed by their reception at Knights of Columbus. Alisha looked stunning with her birdcage veil, blue shoes, gorgeous dress, make-up and hair. Tyler didn’t look so bad himself, lol. And Alyvia, our mini bride was so cute and helpful. For anyone getting married at the Hyatt in Valencia I highly recommend the McBean Room. It is huge and has so many photography opportunities, I love it! We got some amazing shots in the room as well as on the grounds of the Hyatt. The bridal party was so awesome and fun; we all had a great time! It was a beautiful day, and we did the “no rain dance” to make sure it stayed that way, lol. I had a wonderful time and I hope everyone enjoyed the day and photos as much as I did. Tyler, Alisha, and Alyvia are such wonderful people and are going to make a great family!

{matt | bar mitzvah}

I had the pleasure of photographing my first Bar Mitzvah for the Witkin family, which was held at William S. Hart Park. The Witkin’s are very fun and energetic and I had a blast getting to know the rest of the family. We got some stunning shots of Matt and his family and friends. Although Matt was very nervous prior to the ceremony, he did an awesome job reading. It was so wonderful seeing the ceremony and how proud his parents and family were. During the reception Matt and his friends who are in a band performed and did a great job. I love the street fair theme and all the details, everything looked great. I really enjoyed the day and new experience. Thanks for the awesome opportunity and I hope you enjoy the images!
