Loves me ... Pintrest! I can't get enough of this website! I love exploring, searching and finding new inspiration around every corner!
Loves me not ... Pintrest! Sometimes finding images that I've "liked" or "pinned" isn't as easy as it should be. If you pin from a blog I wish you would pin to the original post, not just the blog itself. It can be very difficult to find the original creator this way!

Even if you cannot afford a stylist for your portrait, you can still pull together an adorable look. The more put together your outfit the better your pictures will look. While we highly recommend a stylist we realize it isn't for everyone. Little accessories like jewelry, belts, vests, hair pieces add great character to an outfit. Jen of Nunn Better Design always says "It's all about accessorizing". For a casual look keep it simple, it's amazing how good dark jeans and a cute top and a cardigan with the right jewelry will photograph. For a more elegant look, a classic black dress can look very sophisticated with the right accessories. For more DIY styling, Wedding Chicks has announced a new segment for their blog, like this one. Also, check out Nunn Better Design Blog.

{dylan 1st birthday | event | south coast botanic garden}
I am thrilled to announce our new event coverage package for birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers and many other events.
Our first coverage is of adorable baby Dylan who turned 1! This fun filled circus themed party was inspired by one of Dylan’s favorite books “If I Ran the Circus,” by Dr. Seuss. An amazing DIY party pulled together by Mina, Jen (Nunn Better Design), and many more friends held at South Coast Botanic Garden. The remarkable desserts were provided by My Sweet & Saucy Shop, and, as always, they outdid themselves. All the signage, place-cards, and printouts were designs from a birthday party pack, and Jen generously customized all the additional signage. David, the balloon twister, stole the show and had guests, young and old alike, following him around. As guests entered they voted on the Doljabi game, a Korean tradition for a baby's 1st year, said to predict their future. Guests choose between Money – wealth, Book – education, Yarn – long life, and Rice – never go hungry. At the close of the party all four items were placed in front of Dylan and the one he chose would predict his future! After much deliberation on the part of the birthday boy he selected Money!
It was a blast photographing the amazing party and Mina did a great job putting it all together. Thanks for having us a part of your special day.

Loves me...sleeping in. I love lazy Sunday's where I can sleep in and know that I can chill for the day with no errands, chores, meetings or work. It really doesn't happen often, so when it does I take full advantage!
Love me not...mornings. I hate waking up in the morning, no matter how early or late. I just don't want to get out of my warm comfy bed.

When deciding what to wear for your photo shoot try and stay away from busy patterns and logos. While, patterns and prints are great, we love printed dresses for instance, you don't want to go to crazy with everyone in patterns as it will distract from the main subject, the subjects being you and your loved ones! Try to avoid logos all together, otherwise it may look like you are promoting the brand. Logos also tend to date the image and you want your images to stand the test of time.

Loves me: ...french macaroons! They are my current dessert of choice and I cannot help myself when I am around them. I love how perfectly crisp they are on the outside but so soft and light on the inside. The first crack as I bite into one is pure heaven.
Loves me not: ...filing! Do I really need to explain why?
